Information Session
It is mandatory to attend an information session if you are to be considered a serious candidate for the program.
Required for the information session: Access to a device which will allow you to participate in a video conference.
Aptitude testing:
Aptitude Test results is mandatory to be considered for this program*
*If you have previously completed an aptitude test for one of our AEC’s, the results are valid for 6 months (inclusively) from the date you took the test.
Candidates are not eligible to re-test within 6 months of taking the test. You are welcome to test again after the 6 month mark.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The Network Administration program offers comprehensive, hands-on training for individuals that wish to access entry-level positions in the field of network administration and security, using both on-premises and cloud-based technologies.
The program trains students to install, configure, administer Microsoft and Linux technologies, and implement cloud-based solutions using leading Amazon, Google and Microsoft cloud platforms.
Specific Skills
Specifically, using a variety of OS platforms both locally and within the cloud students will be able to:
- Assess the networking requirements and access rights for a business
- Plan, design and implement both physical and virtual Intranet and Internet solutions
- Plan, design and recommend hardware and software components for networks, servers and computing devices
- Install, configure and manage computer and network hardware
- Analyze and enforce system security meathodologies
- Monitor, analyze and troubleshoot network activity to ensure the efficient operations of Internet and Intranet services
- Provide technical support to network users and clients
- Achieve industry certifications: Cisco, Linux and Microsoft Technologies, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform , Microsoft Azure
- Collaborate effectively within a team
- Adapt to various environments and evolving technologies

Job Outlook
The Network Administration program falls under National Occupation code (NOC) 22220. According to provincial and federal labour information, the employment outlook is good for Computer network technicians for the 2023-2025 period. Employment depends mainly on the demand for IT services in various sectors and workplaces:
- The rapid evolution of technology, the increasing complexity of networks and the growing number of applications give this work force a clear advantage.
- With telework, companies have invested in their IT infrastructure. These investments must be protected, as well teleworkers need frequent support and more efficient networks to finish their workload.
- Increasingly, companies are using cloud computing, which will create new jobs.

Courses & Schedule
Program Schedule
Day Schedule - Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. & 1:00 -2:30 p.m. (1 hour lunch break)
Program Duration
11 months including a 10 week internship in industry

The program is online, with possible exception for Orientation or special events.

- Fulfill AEC admission requirements
- Mathematics 436 or Math. TS4 or SN4 or Secondary V Math. CST5 or equivalent
- Knowledge of computer fundamentals
- Aptitude test on logical problem solving skills
- Written and spoken and access in English
- Working knowledge of French an asset

Recommendations for minimal hardware configuration
Please note that the bandwidth capacity may vary depending on the density of the multimedia experience. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to have a standard high-speed connection (5MB/s) to benefit fully from the online experience.
- Internet Connection – 50 megabits per second (Mbps) download and 25 Mbps upload speeds (This will allow for less disruption during your online courses).
- CPU: Intel Core i5 or i7; or Apple M1 or higher.
- Display: 13 inch (a second screen is recommended, but not necessary).
- RAM: 16 GB minimum
- Quiet place is recommended
